Golden Tulip facade identity.

Golden Tulip has been a famous name since the first Golden Tulip hotels opened their doors in the Netherlands in 1962. Since then, the hotel chain has evolved and grown and now exploits numerous hotels around the world. The facade identity, designed by Fabrique, has certainly contributed to this.


Challenge

Design a new facade identity for Golden Tulip. Make sure that it is unambiguous and refreshing.

Solution

We drafted a Visual Identity Manual, which included the corporate identity that has now become the signature mark for Golden Tulip hotels. Our main purpose was to make it manageable for local hotel managers to introduce and maintain this identity, while also upkeeping their own local choices, as Golden Tulip’s company vision is "International standards, local flavors".

Result

Designs were specificated in the signage manual. These designs were for objects such as light boxes, banners, foils, etc, and were created to be useable and manageable over the whole world. The manual was implemented and approved after it had been tested in a representative group of pilot hotels.
