Nobody likes noise pollution, and one of the places where this kind of pollution is consistently problematic is along motorways. Gigaglas, an international glass wholesaler, played a part in tackling this problem with modular screens designed by Fabrique.

Challenge

Develop a modular system to easily build a noise barrier.

Solution

These noise walls are built up of modular cassettes allowing the barriers to be constructed at high speed. This was one of the requirements because the first location that these barriers were set up was alongside some train tracks, and of course train tracks can only be set on non-active for very short periods of time.

Result

These barriers have been proving their worth along the Dutch A6 motorway for a while now. With the capacity to be set up quickly these noise barriers do their job, and do it well.
